![]() ![]() ![]() I finished this collection feeling as though there were only a few instances where Reinhart found truly new ways to explore emotions, while the rest all felt a little tropey. Ī sweet, simple poetry collection that I liked but ultimately left me a little underwhelmed. The majority of the poetic phrasing used I feel I’ve heard it before. I liked that she had emulated rupi kapur’s simplistic poetry style but I felt most lacked true depth and vulnerable exploration. I can see why people loved it, it’s a really accessible and sweet collection geared towards to millennial generation’s experience. I found didn’t connect to many of these poems, there were a few that made me feel comforted, or happy or sad. Let me first say, I listened to this on audiobook and while it was lovely listening to Lili’s voice (and she does have a lovely voice) I regretted that I couldn’t go back to review the poems easily. ![]() First loves and first losses feature heavily, as well as dealing with anxiety and depression. In her debut poetry collection, Lili Reinhart offers comfort through her simple lines. ![]()
